Wyatt Homes - About Us

Wyatt Homes has been designing and building beautiful, award-winning homes in sought-after communities across the South West for over 30 years.

Based in Dorset, we are a privately-owned business with a commitment to providing homes that combine the very best in architecture with high specification interiors. It is a formula that has helped us to deliver some of the region’s most desirable new homes

Regionally focused with a first-class approach

We have developed a reputation for building characterful new homes in Dorset, Somerset and Hampshire with carefully considered layouts. Whether a one-bedroom apartment, a two or three-bedroom family home, or large executive homes, each has good design and exceptional quality built in.

Our approach to design and quality is supported by our choice of materials and focus on sustainability. As we expand, we are ever more mindful that the activities we pursue and choices we make as a business have an impact – on the economy, on the environment, and on the communities we serve.

Supporting local economies

We are a strong regional business providing direct employment at our head office and across our construction sites. We also work with locally-based contractors and invest in their skills and training to ensure that we not only build great homes, but that the areas in which we build are able to thrive.

Our developments deliver homes that support the employment base for other businesses and help to meet local housing, community and economic development objectives.

Looking after the environment

Equally important is the contribution we make to the natural environment. We give careful attention to planting schemes, green spaces, and sustainable drainage systems, and employ a wide range of measures to safeguard protected species and enhance habitats. We plant hedgerows, trees, meadow grassland, and incorporate bird and bee bricks, bat boxes and sparrow terraces.

The neighbourhoods we build are designed to encourage walking and cycling while our homes are energy and water efficient. Wherever possible, we use sustainable local, natural materials that reflect and enrich the local vernacular.

Building communities

Building homes is about much more than bricks and mortar, at Wyatt Homes we put place-making at the heart of our approach, creating new homes and spaces that work together to become places that are cherished by both residents and neighbouring communities.

We are proud of our track record in delivering community assets, such as the new Wimborne Town Football Club and a skatepark, allotments and riverside parkland fronting the River Stour in Wimborne; Charminster Community Hall; Milborne St Andrew First School; and Frenches Farm Natural Green Space on the edge of Poole Harbour.

Putting place-making at the heart of our approach

Making buying a new home pleasurable

Buying a new home is one of life’s big events and we don’t underestimate our role in ensuring the buying process and after-care is as stress-free and pleasurable as possible.

Each one of our teams – from Land Acquisition, Planning and Construction through to Commercial, Finance and Technical, and Sales and Marketing and Customer Care – is committed to delivering homes of the highest quality with customer service to match. It’s perhaps why, in 2021, 100% of our customers said they would buy a Wyatt Home again.
